Tucked away in a hidden valley in Westown, New Plymouth, our garden provides a microclimate in which we grow microgreens and salad greens year round.
Sunflower, pea, radish and mustard microgreens thrive in the protected environment of a polytunnel while salad greens are intensively grown in raised open garden beds which become low tunnels in winter. All of our greens are grown according to organic principles without the use of chemical sprays - the fresh compost used for each batch of microgreens is added to the garden beds to build the soil.
Our careful harvesting process, which includes plunging into cold water to remove field heat immediately after cropping, followed by fan drying and refrigeration, ensures a long shelf life maximising value.
