PermitsEach stallholder must be approved by Farmers Market Taranaki before they join the market (see previous 2 tabs, "Want to..." and "More info"). Full data is provided by the documents refered to in the previous tab ("More information") but this can be summarised as follows: 1) NPDC requires all food related stallholders who attend the market (or any market) more than 4 times in any year to obtain a Stallholders Licence. Please contact NPDC for further information and/or to obtain your license (permit). 2) Because of NZ Food Safety requirements, If the product(s) you wish to bring to market are processed in any way, you will need to discuss your processes with NPDC. Requirements for washing/packing fruit and vegetables are less stringent, but again, please discuss your needs with New Plymouth Distric Council. NPDC Mimie van der Merwe WITT runs the "Food Safety Certificate of Achievement" approximately every quarter, depending on demand. |
